Foreign Exchange (FX)

General

The Foreign Exchange (FX) service enables you to obtain a real-time quoted rate for any of the currently supported currency pairs, which can then be held for a predefined duration. Upon receiving the quote, the rate is locked for a period of 45 seconds. Should you wish to proceed with the transaction, you should confirm the trade request by pressing Sign button and follow further instructions within this time frame to execute the trade at the quoted rate.

To use an FX service, you must have an International Account opened. You can check the availability of your International Account via the Noveba online banking platform under the “Accounts” menu. The International Account is structured as follows: GBXXVEBAXXXX [NAME SURNAME, Payment Account (International)]

If you do not currently have an International Account, please apply for account opening by sending a bank message via the Noveba online banking platform under the “Signed message” menu. The International Account is multi-currency, meaning it allows you to send, receive, and hold all currencies supported by Noveba:

Supported Currencies (as of 17 September 2025)

The following currencies are currently supported for foreign exchange (FX) and international payments:

• Euro (EUR)
• United States Dollar (USD)
• Swiss Franc (CHF)

Additional currencies will be added in the near future.

FX service Cut-Off Times

To ensure same-day settlement, FX trades must be booked before the relevant currency cut-off time on business days. If a trade fails to settle – typically due to insufficient funds in the account – you will be notified immediately. Please refer to the table below for the current cut-off times for all supported currencies. All times are provided in UK local time.

FX Trade Minimum Values

Each supported currency has a defined minimum trade value. If a trade request is submitted below the minimum threshold, the request will be rejected.
